On 9/11, there were Seven war game exercises or drills taking place. Some were interfering with the Government’s ability to respond to the attacks, others were mimicking the attacks themselves.
The outgoing White House administration will next week hold a joint “disaster scenario” exercise with top members of the incoming team of president-elect Barack Obama, US officials said Friday.
“I’m not going to go into the details of it, but it is a disaster scenario where the government would be very much tested,” White House spokesman Scott Stanzel said.
“It is an exercise scenario, a hypothetical scenario that is designed to test and tax the capabilities of the federal government,” he added.
He did not specify whether Obama or vice president-elect Joe Biden would take part in Tuesday’s three-hour long exercise, saying merely it was part of regular training events and had not been motivated by any specific threat.
A huge security blanket is being thrown over Washington for Obama’s inauguration on January 20, with up to two million people planning to converge on the US capital to witness the nation’s first African-American president being sworn into office.
“It is a very public event … and one that gathers, you know, leaders in a very small environment, essentially. So obviously we have a lot of concern about it,” Stanzel said.
“But there is no credible threat at this point to the inauguration that is precipitating this.”
Stanzel said Tuesday’s exercise was part of President George W. Bush’s commitment to ensuring a smooth handover of powers in the first transition to take place since the September 11, 2001 attacks.
He said senior members of Obama’s team had been invited “to attend 90-minute orientations and briefings followed by a three-hour exercise intended to familiarize the incoming administration with domestic and international incident management procedures used by the current administration.”
“The exercise is a regular thing. We have these exercises at various levels throughout the administration, at several different levels on a regular basis every year,” he added.
“This just happens to be an exercise that we were having at a very senior level that we had planned that we can also include the incoming team on that exercise.”

Here in Australia, I have spoken to lots of friends and work colleagues and most would not be surprised if Obama was assassinated and Bush would re-instate himself indefinitely.
I guess we will just have to wait and see what unfolds.
At the end of the day, its all just a show and distraction for the public to consume, whilst those whom are really in power remain, hidden, obscure and protected.

Something went awry. All the documentation and players were in position for the coup d’ état. Dubya had accomplished all the preliminary steps: He had Executive Order #110, the Patriot Act, the Military Commissions Act, and the Continuity of Government Act all operational.
He and his people had already established that anyone they declared a “terrorist” could be detained in prison without a trial, could be tortured (water-boarded, deprived of sleep) with impunity, and that wiretaps could be put in place without court orders.
Executive Order #110 allowed him to declare martial law without Congressional approval; the Domestic Security Enhancement Act (Patriot Act of October 26, 2001) provided tools for law enforcement agencies to search telephone, email communications, medical, financial and other records; the Military Commissions Act did away with habeas corpus; and the Continuity of Government Act actually allowed him to appoint a dictator who would be in complete control of every aspect of running the government.
All this in addition to having the Republicans own the Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) which had been so effective in winning elections for Republicans since 1996 when the inventor of the first EVM, Chuck Hagel of Nebraska, sold his machines to the Election Board and then ran for the Senate in a predominately Democratic state and won with 85 percent of the votes, even in precincts that had never before elected a Republican.
Once Bush declared martial law it would be an easy matter to re-introduce the Patriot Act II and the Terrorism Information and Prevention System (TIPS) which had been turned down by Congress after his Department of Homeland Security proposed it; the System authorized truckers, mailmen, train conductors, ship captains, and meter readers to spy on their neighbors and report their activities to the authorities.
Everything was in place for The New World Order to be installed when something unforeseen happened. The people rose up. No, they didn’t take to the streets as I predicted they might, but Blacks, Latinos, the elderly… and thinking people from every walk of life went to the polls and elected their own man. And, all the king’s horses and all the king’s men couldn’t put the coup back together again.
What precipitated this uprising was the $700 billion bailout, with no strings attached, that Hank Paulson, the Secretary of the Treasury, proposed for his banking buddies (which would also have bailed out his former employer, Goldman Sachs, which still owed him a sizeable amount on his tax-free $200 million severance package). They did it to themselves – they just pushed us too far.
Also adding to the problem was John McCain telling the public that the economy was okay when everyone knew it wasn’t, and the fact that Karl Rove, master-mind of the whole operation, was prematurely forced out of the White House; he needed just a little more time to accomplish his goals.

I remember sometime back when an anonymous caller placed a call to the Meier & Frank Dept. store in Portland threatening to dynamite the place…..same call every night. It was always so short of course that they never could trace it and it was undoubtedly made from a different public payphone booth each time. Finally the store management just shrugged it off and paid no attention to it……then one night an ungodly explosion almost completely leveled the place clear down to the foundation.
